Higher NITEC Internship

During my 2022 internship at JH Productions, I worked as a part of the AV Crew, taking on roles such as Stagehand, Switcher Operator, and Setup Crew. Throughout the internship, I was trained in operating the Novastar J6 and Barco Switcher, as well as performing basic maintenance on LED Panels. My work primarily focused on sound and switcher operations in live events.

Although I had prior experience in live sound from my NITEC internship, I proactively requested the opportunity to learn more about multimedia, as this internship took place before the multimedia module. I wanted to gain foundational video skills before coming back to campus. Through this exposure, I developed a strong interest in multimedia operations, particularly switching. As a result, I was called back as a freelancer to work again with the company as a switcher operator, allowing me to further develop my technical skills.
